Choosing Antenna Length
The longer your antenna, the better your CB system will perform. So we recommend using the longest antenna you possibly can! That being said, 4' antennas are the most popular choice of pickup truck and off-road vehicle owners, while 5' antennas are more often found on larger trucks and semis.
Here are the approximate ranges you'll get with these different length antennas:
- 3' Long - 3 to 4 miles
- 4' Long - 4 to 6 miles
- 5' Long - 5 to 7 miles
